Causes of Insects in the Bathroom
Poor air circulation, as well as dark lighting can trigger the appearance of various unwanted animals in the bathroom. Not only that, the position of the bathroom drain which is connected to the kitchen – where the drain in the kitchen is often blocked by organic waste – is a favorite spot for animals and insects to breed there.
Types of Insects Often Found
Here are some insects that often appear in the bathroom and where they come:
1. Cockroach
Its presence that often appears suddenly, usually comes from the sewer. Bathrooms that are rarely cleaned make these animals very happy to play there.
2. Centipedes
Animals that have antennae and can sting usually come to the toilet or drain. Animals with a minimum of 40 legs, are very happy in smelly places with poor air circulation and dark lighting.
3. Scorpion
With a shape that is similar to a combination of a scorpion and a spider, ketonggeng is characterized by a very pungent smell. In fact, these animals do live in moist soil. Ketonggeng usually emerges from a pile of broken ceramic debris where underneath there is a hole in the ground.
4. Worm
Worms can enter your bathroom through drains and drains that run through your house. Compared to dry bathroom types, worms will appear more often in wet bathrooms because of their nature that likes a watery environment. Wet or flooded floors are a favorite place for worms to live. If the tile surface of your bathroom contains soil or many gaps, you must be prepared to be visited by this one animal frequently.
Although not deadly, the presence of these animals in the bathroom can sometimes be very disturbing. Therefore, let’s keep the bathroom clean at home by frequently cleaning it at least once a week. Don’t forget to also pay special attention to some special items and equipment. Because a clean house is the key to a healthy family.
