About Vinilon KRAH Pipe
Vinilon PPR (Polypropylene Random) pipes are a premium thermoplastic piping system specifically designed for pressurized hot and cold water sanitary installations. Manufactured using high-quality Polypropylene Random Type 3 raw materials, these pipes comply with the stringent SNI ISO 15874-2 standard as well as Germany’s DIN 8077 and DIN 8078 standards. This material makes Vinilon PPR pipes a far more hygienic, durable, and low-maintenance solution compared to metal pipes that are prone to corrosion.
Vinilon offers a complete range of variants to accommodate different pressurized water flow and temperature requirements: Blue Line (PN 10) for cold water, Yellow Line (PN 16) for both hot and cold water, and Red Line (PN 20) specifically designed for high-pressure hot water applications up to 70°C. Available in sizes ranging from 20 mm (1/2 inch) to 160 mm (6 inches), Vinilon has become the preferred PPR pipe manufacturer among contractors for luxury residential projects, hotels, hospitals, and industrial applications.
- High Temperature and Pressure Resistance: Capable of carrying hot water at a continuous operating temperature of up to 70°C, with a service life of up to 50 years.
- Hygienic and Food Grade: PPR material is non toxic, corrosion resistant, and suppresses bacterial growth, ensuring that clean water quality remains safe and uncontaminated.
- Excellent Chemical Resistance: Highly resistant to corrosion and abrasion, and unaffected by acidic or alkaline substances that may be present in water.
- Smooth Inner Surface: The smooth internal wall minimizes head loss and prevents dirt buildup or scaling inside the pipe.
- Lightweight Yet Strong: The lightweight material simplifies transportation and installation while maintaining high impact strength.
- Low Condensation: The natural thermal insulation properties of PPR minimize condensation and help maintain more stable water temperatures compared to metal pipes.
- Clean Water Installation and Sanitary Systems: Suitable for potable water supply lines, residential clean water systems, and apartment buildings.
- Hot and Cold Water Distribution: Ideal not only for cold water but water heater systems, boilers, and centralized hot water distribution in hotels and hospitals.
- Air Conditioning Systems: Used for chiller and condenser piping in centralized air conditioning systems.
- Food and Chemical Industries: Suitable for transporting aggressive liquids or food grade fluids due to its chemical resistance and hygienic properties.
- Agriculture and Farming: Applied in modern irrigation systems and greenhouse installations.
Vinilon offers two advanced jointing methods that ensure PPR fittings are perfectly integrated and leak-proof:
- Heat Fusion (Socket Fusion): A permanent jointing method using a heating tool (welding machine). The pipe and fitting are heated until they melt and are then fused together to form a homogeneous bond. This joint is incredibly strong, durable, and leak-free as there are no gaps between materials.
- Smartfit System (Push-On): A practical innovation requiring no heating tools or electricity. Simply chamfer the pipe end, mark the depth, and push the pipe into the Smartfit fitting until it locks. Equipped with a high-quality EPDM seal, this system saves time and the connection can even be disassembled using a release key.
