Exploring Butt Fusion Pipe Joint Method: Join the Training Now!
After holding training with PT PAM Jaya, Vinilon Group, through its subsidiary PT Nawa Wisnu Perkasa, again held Polyethylene (PE) Pipe Connection Competency Training to introduce pipe connections using the Butt Fusion method. This event was held at the Vinilon Building Head Office last February.
The event, which was opened by Novean Husni as Project Manager of the Vinilon Group, was attended by operators and project supervisors from CV. Nam Nam and CV. Aska Karya Global Indo. Meanwhile, the training material was presented by the product team from the Vinilon Group, namely Natal Roy (Product Service Supervisor), Ihsan Mahdi (Product Specialist), and Ricardo (Product Engineer).
This series of activities began with an explanation of the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3), the use of pipe measuring tools, how to cut PE pipes, and the practice of connecting PE pipes using the Butt fusion method, which was carried out one by one by the training participants. However, what exactly is this butt fusion technique?
Butt fusion is a method of connecting HDPE pipes that is carried out using a melting technique that utilizes thermoplastic characteristics, namely that the HDPE pipe or fitting material will melt when heated. And when it cools, the material will harden again. The advantage of this method is that it can reach large sizes, and the life of the connection is as long as the life of the pipe itself, which is up to 50 years. This butt fusion method of connection can be useful for building drinking water distribution networks, wastewater systems, and other infrastructure projects.
This activity is the first competency training institute (LPK) to use SKKNI No. 29 of 2021 as a reference for computer-based training (PBK). After attending a series of training sessions, participants receive a certificate that is valid as a requirement for applying for National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) certification, which will be useful for increasing participant credibility, validating competence, and providing career opportunities.
“I am happy to be able to take part in this training because, apart from being useful for future certification, the explanations from the trainers are easy to understand, and the training location is comfortable and strategic. “Hopefully, in the future, we can continue to collaborate with Vinilon,” said Aip, one of the participants from Subang.
With this training, the participants can achieve their targets for the sake of professionalism in future work and also become more proven in their competence. See you at the next training event!
