About Vinilon KRAH Pipe

Vinilon KRAH Pipe is an innovative modern piping system featuring a structured spiral profile, specifically engineered to enhance infrastructure performance compared to conventional piping systems such as corrugated pipe, concrete pipe, and steel pipe in large-scale infrastructure applications. These pipes are manufactured using high-quality thermoplastic materials, combining High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or Polypropylene (PP), and are produced in accordance with the international DIN 16961 standard. As a result, they offer excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion, chemical exposure, and extreme weather conditions.

Vinilon KRAH pipes feature a unique spiral profiled wall design. This structure provides superior resistance to external loads, such as heavy traffic loads or ground movement caused by soil shifting. It is a highly efficient long-term investment solution, ideally suited for urban water management, industrial wastewater systems, and highway drainage applications.

Key Advantages
  • Long Term Investment up to 100 Years: Designed with high durability to last up to 100 years of service life, minimizing maintenance and replacement which ensures a low life cycle cost.
  • High Structural Strength with Superior Stiffness: Available in various ring stiffness classes ranging from SN4 to SN16, capable of withstanding heavy traffic loads and deep soil backfill.
  • Optimal Hydraulic Flow Performance: The extremely smooth and bright yellow inner wall prevents sediment buildup, facilitates easier inspection, and allows higher water flow capacity compared to concrete pipes.
  • Completely Corrosion Resistant and Chemical Resistant: Made from polyethylene and polypropylene materials that are fully resistant to rust, bacterial growth, and aggressive chemical waste.
  • Fast and Efficient Installation: Significantly lighter than concrete pipes, enabling easier mobilization of equipment and substantially faster installation on site.
  • Environmentally Friendly: The materials are fully recyclable and manufactured through an energy efficient production process.
Applications & Uses

Vinilon KRAH Pipe is ideal for a wide range of non-pressure (gravity flow) and low-pressure infrastructure applications, including:

  • Stormwater Drainage & Flood Control: Large capacity rainwater channels for urban areas.
  • Sewerage Systems: Secure and sealed transport of domestic and industrial wastewater.
  • Culverts: Durable replacements for box culverts under highways, toll roads, and railways.
  • Marine Pipelines (Outfall/Intake): Submarine pipelines for discharge or seawater intake.
  • Manholes & Tanks: Integrated prefabricated manholes and chemical or water storage tanks.
  • Pipe Rehabilitation (Relining): Efficient repair solution for aging pipelines without extensive excavation.
  • Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT): An integrated large-diameter utility tunnel solution designed to house various infrastructure networks (such as electrical cables, telecommunications, water pipes, and gas lines) within a single underground conduit. This application facilitates easy maintenance and repair of urban utilities without the need for repeated road excavations that disrupt traffic.
Leak-Proof Jointing Systems

Vinilon KRAH Pipe offers Homogeneous jointing technologies that ensure structural unity, creating a leak-proof (watertight) and seepage-free system:

  • Electrofusion (EF): The premier jointing method where integrated heating wires within the socket are electrically fused. This process melds the pipe and fitting into a single, permanent monolithic structure.
  • Socket-Spigot with Rubber Ring: A push-fit system utilizing a double rubber gasket (Krah-Ring) for rapid installation while maintaining a tight water seal.
  • Extrusion Welding: Manual welding technique using an extruder machine, ideal for complex connections, custom fitting fabrication, or on-site repairs.
